The Frankston First Community Safety Network was launched last Wednesday, attracting around 70 people all interested in making Frankston safer.   It was also exciting hearing attendees talk about their ideas for making a positive contribution in our local area.

Thank you to everyone involved in Frankston First

In May 2019 Victoria Police and the Department of Justice and Community Safety appointed Conversation Caravan to deliver the Frankston First Initiative through the Community Safety Network program.

Frankston First aimed to increase connection between Victoria Police and the community through the creation of a network composed of community leaders working together to deliver local community safety projects.

The project involved the facilitation of five network meetings and five practical workshops designed to build the capacity of the network and the wider Frankston community.

Community workshops were held covering the following topics:

  • Project Management
  • Grant Writing
  • Community Safety
  • Visual Merchandising
  • Challenging Encounters

A total of 170 community members were involved in Frankston First, through the launch, attending workshops or having a role on the network.
